The scheme, an upgraded version of the Orunodoi initiative launched on October 2, 2020, increases the number of beneficiaries to 37 lakh from the previous 17 lakh. The assistance is transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through Direct Bank Transfer (DBT), ensuring timely and efficient delivery. This scheme promotes women’s economic independence and improves health and nutrition for their dependent children.
